Victoria is a thriving neighbourhood. It has a long history attached to it and it is changing in the present and will continue to transform. While the majority of properties in the neighbourhood are single-family homes, detached houses are not the only property in the area. There are larger developments bringing condos & townhomes to the area. Some of these are smaller, some are grand developments with rooftop pools and gardens. Either way, Victoria is slowly transforming - but at a controlled pace as more comprehensive development is fixated along the busy Kingsway corridor. Otherwise, this neighbourhood still retains its humble origins.

Victoria Drive

Easily the commercial and cultural hub of the Victoria neighbourhood is Victoria Drive. While this street does run north-to-south right through the middle of the aptly named neighbourhood, Victoria Drive in this context refers to the stretch of avenue between 32nd and 55th streets. This particular stretch is home to a business district with eclectic shops and restaurants reflecting the diverse, multicultural population living and working in the neighbourhood. Mexican food and Vietnamese cuisine coexist with Filipino eateries and lavish bakeries. There are also a broad range of service and retail providers, including faith-based organizations.
