The neighbourhood's position can be appealing to commuters as it's close to the highway, the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge across the Second Narrows to Burnaby, or the nearby Phibbs Exchange where the RapidBus connects to Lonsdale Quay Station.

A big draw to Lynnmour is the number of parks boasting outdoor recreation facilities and hiking trails for local residents and visitors from across the Lower Mainland. Inter River Park is the largest. It features several multi-purpose fields for sports like soccer and rugby, along with baseball diamonds, a cricket pitch and a BMX jump park. Hiking trails along the Lynn Creek connect parks near the water (like Harbourside Park) up to the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve or Lynn Canyon Park.
