Discover Pemberton NV (North Vancouver)

Located at the southwestern edge of North Vancouver, Pemberton is the first point of entry for people coming over the Lions Gate Bridge which connects the North Shore with the City of Vancouver. Much like most of North Vancouver, the residential streets in this neighbourhood are studded with trees all the way up to the commercial areas along Marine Drive. The neighbourhood is mostly single-family residential, though that is slowly changing with development of Lions Gate Village. Still, it retains its charm from North Van’s surrounding wilderness, such as Capilano River’s winding water to Barbour Park’s winding grove of trees. 

A Growing Village

Lions Gate Village is fast becoming the showpiece of the Pemberton neighbourhood. This newly-developed neighbourhood within a neighbourhood is designed to emphasize an importance on walkability. Condos & townhomes are the primary housing types available in the Village. These are available in a mix of buildings ranging from taller towers, to mid-rise buildings and rows of townhouses depending on the individual project. Lions Gate Village is also home to North Vancouver’s newest community recreation centre. 

Commuters & Drivers

This neighbourhood is well-positioned in terms of transit. Whether you work in North Vancouver, West Vancouver or Downtown Vancouver, Pemberton is a great location as a starting point. Aside from being able to get right onto Marine Drive (with access to the Lions Gate Bridge), drivers can go north on Capilano Road to access the Upper Levels Highway. Transit commuters can take any of the Vancouver-bound buses at Marine & Capilano, or catch the R2 RapidBus for commuting anywhere from West Vancouver to the Phibbs Exchange in North Vancouver. This express bus also stops at Lonsdale Quay Station, where the SeaBus connects riders to Vancouver’s SkyTrain network at Waterfront Station.
