Champlain Heights

A fun, family-friendly neighbourhood of homes surrounded by trees and parks.

Discover Champlain Heights (Vancouver East)

Champlain Heights is a decidedly family-friendly neighbourhood offering a lot of amenities to people who wish to live in neighbourhoods among nature - yet still in the city. The majority of homes in the area are either detached single-family homes, or attached homes like townhomes or duplexes. Much of these homes are arranged into cul de sacs and separated from other streets by groves of evergreen trees which create a sense of separation and privacy usually found in suburban neighborhoods. There are multiple elementary and secondary schools in or close to Champlain Heights, and they are both public and private schools.

Parks & Trails

In such a neighbourhood where groves of trees often separate townhome developments from one another, it should be no surprise there’s a large amount of park space in Champlain Heights. Everett Crowley Park is the fifth-largest park in Vancouver and home to forested trails, public spaces like Manfred’s Meadow, and Avalon Pond. Other parks include children’s playgrounds and athletic fields, like at Champlain Heights Park. The neighbourhood also borders onto Fraserview Golf Course, a public 18-hole golf course operated by the City of Vancouver. There’s even a few trails which connect neighbourhood streets through the forested strips of land between neighbourhoods and cul de sacs.

Working in Burnaby? Champlain Heights is a good option

If you’re working in Burnaby and looking for a home, Champlain Heights is a great choice. Why? Because at the eastern edge of the neighbourhood, Burnaby is across the street - literally. Boundary Road separates Vancouver and Burnaby (hence the name) and thus as one of Vancouver’s easternmost neighbourhoods, Champlain Heights can be a great place for families to take advantage of living and working in both communities. Also, Champlain Heights is just minutes away from Metrotown - the commercial hub of Burnaby.
