There is a very good presence of private schools in this prestigious neighbourhood from Montessori to High School. These include Granville House, Little Flower Academy, York House and Vancouver College. There are also many great public schooling options such as Shaughnessy Elementary and Prince of Wales Secondary School.

Shaughnessy sits in the centre of the city's most admired parks and recreation spaces.
