Demand For Housing In Richmond, B.C. Continues To Grow

Richmond is a thriving Metro Vancouver suburban city that has a lot to offer homeowners including, outstanding educational options, easy access to downtown Vancouver, and an abundance of shopping centres. The multicultural city of Richmond continues to see a growing demand for housing in the area resulting in increasing final sale prices for single-family homes, townhomes, and condos.

Benchmark Prices For Detached Homes In Richmond Have Grown 18% Over The Past Year

This past August, detached homes in Richmond had an average final sale price of $1,920,400, an 18.3% increase from last August. There were 165 single-family homes listed on the MLS®, with 117 of those homes selling, resulting in a 71% sales ratio.

Richmond Townhomes Are In High Demand Resulting In A 99% Sales Ratio

This past August, townhomes in Richmond had an average final sale price of $938,400 which was a 15.6% increase from last year. There were 107 townhomes listed on the MLS®, with 106 of those listings selling, resulting in a 99% sales ratio. The average final sale price for condos in Richmond was $713,400, an 8.9% increase from last year. There were 265 condos listed on the MLS®, with 221 of those listings selling, resulting in an 83.4% sales ratio.
